Solid-Body Electric Qins

We start with a solid block of hardwood (in this case, maple) and start cutting.

The block is shaped to a normal qin, with a normal bottom.

In the body, a slot is routed out, and exit holes for the wiring are created; then holes for a pair of pickups are routed.

Additional parts are prepared and inserted in the body for the ceremonial head

Finally it is ready for performance.

The pure electric sound works well with various sound processors.
